One of the things that makes Palma Ceia UMC such a unique and special church is that we operate our church completely on faith. WE DO NOT TAKE PLEDGES. We simply trust God to provide for the needs of the church through the faithful giving of our church family members.

We do not talk about money through the year in our worship services. Of course it takes money to operate a church as vital and active as Palma Ceia UMC. But we do not raise it through begging, pleading, or harassing our people about money.

Rather, once a year we have a glorious THANKSGIVING LOYALTY SUNDAY in which we give each person an opportunity to make a private, personal Commitment to God. The commitment is placed in a sealed envelope and you write your name and address on the envelope. No one from the church ever opens the envelope!

At the end of the year you are sent your sealed envelope so you and you alone can check to see how you are doing in your giving to God through your church.

Thanksgiving Loyalty Sunday occurs the Sunday before Thanksgiving every November.
