In the recent years, many members have asked, “What can we do to help hurricane victims?” The United Methodist Church was immediately on the ground on the Gulf Coast, helping victims through the United Methodist Committee on Relief. Palma Ceia is working through UMCOR. If you would like to make a donation, make the check out to PCUMC, marked for “Hurricane Relief,” and we will forward this money so that 100 percent will go directly to those in need. The Palma Ceia family giving to hurricane relief is over $17,000.
UMCOR is always in need of monetary gifts that will go directly to those in need immediately following a disaster any where in the world. While most people wait until a disaster occurs to give, having money prior to the disaster allows UMCOR to be more prepared when a disaster hits.
