Classes are offered throughout the year. The New Members Class meets three Sundays in a row to learn about Methodism, the United Methodist Church, and Palma Ceia UMC. The fourth Sunday new members are received at the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service. The classes will be held in the church library off the north courtyard at 9:15 am. As believers in the Christian faith, it is important to have a community of faith. A community with which to share the spiritual journey, to express our faith in appropriate forms, and to worship and serve God. |
JOIN BY TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP
One may transfer from another United Methodist Church. We will write your former church and handle the transfer.
One may transfer from another Christian denomination. We will be happy to make the arrangements.
Part of the membership vows are to uphold this United Methodist Church with your prayers, presence, gifts, and service.
JOIN BY PROFESSION OF FAITH AND BAPTISM
Church
membership begins with baptism. If you desire to be baptized and join
the church by profession of faith in Christ, the ministers will be glad
to arrange this service for you.
AFFILIATE MEMBERS
If
you are a member of a church in another city or state and wish to
retain your membership in what you consider you “home” church, you can
become an Affiliate Member of Palma Ceia. This gives you pastoral
oversight, fellowship and full participation. You will not be counted
on our roll, but on that of your “home” church. But you will feel a
part of our church family while you are here.

We
are an open church and receive new individuals and new leaders. We hope
if you desire to be an active member of our church family that you will
come join us on your spiritual journey.
WHEN MAY I JOIN
Our custom is to have a series of Sunday morning membership classes several times a year for those wishing to join. Upon completion of the class, we will be happy to accept you as a member of Palma Ceia.
